Luster dust is a non-toxic edible dust used for decorating cakes and pastries. It gives subtle color with a high sheen metallic-like finish. It may also be used alone or mixed with similar matte dust to create a lustrous sheen without lightening the color. In an instance, luster dust can be also used in drinks, it settles to the bottom of the glass so stirring will make it and/or bring the color and shimmer back to the drink.
